Trip to Brighton

Hey guys,

Today has been the hottest day of the year so far, and what better way to spend it, than by the seaside. Me and my friend decided to take a little trip out of London, and into Brighton for the day! What fun I have had.
I cannot believe I have never been to Brighton before, there is so much to see, and on a hot day, what more do you want that to sit down, eat fish and chips and have a cheeky ice-cream. (Definitely me!) As you can see I took full advantage of laying down, to relax and soak up some sun-rays, although you could argue it's not my most flattering pose.

What I loved most about Brighton, is not only does it remind me slightly of being back home in Devon, but it has the cutest little independent shops ever. Its so nice to see this, in comparison to the high street stores i'm faced with on a daily basis. I managed to pick up a few extra home decorative for my room, and some incense with a gorgeous little elephant holder.

I've had one of the best days in such a long time, it's so nice to take some time out now and again, and spend time with friends and just have fun! I definitely will be back to visit Brighton again, in fact I want to live there.

I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather.

good food, good company: Five Guys

Recently in the part of London I am currently living in a Five Guys restaurant has opened. It's only right that I went along with my friends to test it out. I don't eat out very often, if I could I would trust me.

I think the over all effect of this place looks so cool, I think I got a little too excited. You can queue up and eat monkey nuts (which are amazing). I love that although it is technically a fast food restaurant you can see all the burgers being made right in front of you, I think there is something comforting about that.

I love the idea of all the toppings being free, I do think its a really good price, for burger, chips and unlimited drink refills, I think I paid around £7. Let me just tell you the drinks machine is amazing, I forgot to photograph it, but you select your category, so I pressed diet coke, thinking that's what would come out, but I then got to choose flavours such as Lime, Vanilla, Cherry, Strawberry. (How cool is that!!)

I got the veggie burger with Cajan spice chips and Lime diet coke. All of the food was lovely, however I would say the only downside is for those people who don't eat red meat or are vegetarian. I presumed there would have been a chicken burger, but no. I had to go for veggie, which I thought would have been an actual burger, but essentially it was veg in a burger bun. (slightly disappointing).
I'd go again just for the chips and Lime coke.

Have you been to Five Guys before? If so, what do you think about it.
